Building Your Business Project Outline

Essential Questions: How does the value of human life and labor compare to the value of money? Is is possible to run an ethical business and make a profit?

Enduring Understandings: There are many costs to making a business work. People and environments are often exploited in the name of profits. Running a business requires people to make difficult decisions about what is best for their business, what is best for their employees, and what is best for their community.

NETS Addressed: 1, 2, 3

Objective: Students will understand the human cost of running a business by starting thier own business and maintaining it throughout the course of the unit.

Due: October 7, 2015

Directions (Phase 1 - Due October 5):

1. With your 3 to 4 person group, you will decide what type of business you will start.

2. Name your business

3. Post (answer all questions) on our class padlet so everyone can see what your business will be. Click here: Your Business (password is ollin)

Directions (Phase 2 - Due October 7):

1. In Googledocs, begin and outline of your business plan. Follow the model/template

provided and only complete pages 1 and 2 (for now).
